Interesting. I do not know what lay Dominicans are, unless they are referring to the Catholic Dominican Sister

I found a ‘Find a Grave’ project listing for John Berry and put up a similar project for Grace Read Berry when we found out she passed. I asked for a picture of the headstone and this weekend I received notice that a photo had been linked to both listings.

I have attached the photo to this email for your viewing. I have saved the image and will get back to work on the Gillman information to get this uploaded.

Here is the link to the ‘Find a Grave’ project:

Mr. Hannigan,

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I had asked one of our interns to help with this, but just discovered that your request was overlooked for the last month.

I am not able to get a copy of any of the newspapers you asked for, but I did copy and paste the Richard Read obituary that appeared online at www.seacoastonline.com from Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.

I have attached the text as a Word document.

I hope this helps.

I am researching my father’s family members and his great aunt, Grace Jolicoeur Read Berry has provided a list of her children to him when we visited in 2006. Grace passed away a couple of years ago and listed her children again in her obituary.

We are trying to tie up the Jolicoeur branch. Grace’s mother and my father’s grandmother were sister.

Anyway, I have found a listing for the obituary of Richard Read (age 54) who passed away on 11 Dec 2005. Richard’s obituary appeared in the Portsmouth Herald on 17 December 2005; along with the York County Coast Star and the Hampton Union on the same date and the York Weekly on 18 December 2005.

Is it possible to get a copy of the obituary from one (or all) of the newspapers either sent via email or US Mail to me? According to the Obituary Collection, they list a number of other persons and several other locations of reference to the family.

Thank you for your consideration.

Received an email from Kathy. Only one Gilman left her aunt Ann. She forwarded my email to her also.

Kathy has some writings from her grandfather. I asked her to send me a copy at my snail mail, because I don’t know if she has it digitized.

I guess it was good timing to write her. Do you have an updated Gilman Report that you could send her? At least it will be a start for her and her aunt to review and fill in the blanks.

Kathy It has been a long time since I corresponded. Hope all is well with you and Gene. I am retired now and have turned to genealogy about my family Hannigan parental and Donohoe Maternal sides

I know we have discussed the Gillman family in the past. I made a trip to Massachusetts a few years ago and did research on the Gilman’s family name in the Quincy Library. Also, went by all the family residence’s to double check the addresses. Even went to the Cemetery and verified each tombstone.

The purpose of this e-mail – Trying to obtain some writings from my cousins concerning their family. Can you or your siblings write something regarding your growing up during your school years in the 1940’s and what is was like to live in Massachusetts during WWII and Korean War.

I have been in touch with Grace and Bill Joliceour, however both of them are deceased. Have information on the Joliceour family.

Thank you your cousins Jack & Karen Hannigan
