Mary was the oldest sibling of my great-grandfather, John Joseph Hannigan.  William and Mary were married on the fourth day of August 1887 in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church at Courtlandt Avenue and East 154th street in the Melrose section of the Bronx, New York City. Pastor Charles J. Wielding conducted the ceremony.
